William G. "Bill" Wolters founded the Fairview Fire Department in 1938 and served as fire chief for 27 years, from 1938 to 1965. He was dedicated to the preservation of life and property and truly loved the Fairview community. The Fairview Volunteer Fire Department was organized in July 1938.
