Mount Rosa is an 11,504-foot summit in the Pikes Peak Massif of Colorado’s southern Front Range, standing in Pike National Forest southwest of Colorado Springs. Rising 5,475 feet above the city, it is one of the taller peaks on the skyline and helps define the western horizon with the rugged summits of the Pikes Peak region. The mountain is also a popular hiking destination, commonly reached by the Frosty Park Route via back roads and a trail that climbs to the north ridge and follows it to the summit. It is valued for its elevation, views, prominence, and relatively direct access to high country near Colorado Springs.
