Sacajawea died April 9, 1894. She was a guide with the Lewis and Clark Expedition of 1805-1806 and was identified in 1907 by Rev. J. Roberts, who officiated at her burial. Her son Baptiste Charbonneau, the papoose of the Lewis and Clark Expedition, was born Feb. 11, 1805, died on this reservation in 1885, and was buried west in the Wind River Mountains. Bazil, identified as a son of Sacajawea, died in 1886 at the age of 86 years and was reburied here Jan. 12, 1925.
