Baltimore Covered Bridge, a small wooden covered bridge in Springfield, Vermont, was built in 1870 over Great Brook on the road to Baltimore and is notable for its modest 44-foot length. Constructed by Granville Leland and Dennis Allen, it later fell into disrepair and closed in 1967. A restoration effort led by former U.S. Senator Ralph E. Flanders saved the bridge, and in 1970 covered-bridge builder Milton S. Graton oversaw its restoration and relocation beside the Eureka Schoolhouse. It was afterward rededicated in memory of Flanders and Graton and remains valued for both its 19th-century craftsmanship and the community effort that preserved it.
