Built in 1898, this former Cohoctah Evangelical Church first served the religious needs of a farming community near Howell, Michigan. Because Michigan lumber was in short supply when it was built, the church was constructed of southern pine. The little chapel was dedicated free of debt on September 3, 1898. In 1979, this white clapboard country church was relocated to Crossroads Village and dedicated again that same year. Its restoration and furnishings are characteristic of a rural church of the 1890s, and the building retains the integrity of that period. Today, many couples reserve this non-denominational chapel as a backdrop for Victorian-style weddings.
