Michael J. Kos served the Town of Goffstown faithfully for 23 years as a truck driver for the Department of Public Works and for many years as a steward in Teamsters Local 633. Henry Bridge Road and Center Street formed a major part of his plow route for as long as anyone could remember. His co-workers knew him for a certain wit that helped everyone get through another hour without sleep during winter snowstorms. One especially memorable moment came when, while plowing the then-under-construction roundabout, he broke into song over the two-way radio in the middle of the night, singing, "round and round we go ... how you plow it, nobody knows..." He died in the summer of 2007 during the final phase of the roundabout's construction, after serving as a member of the excavator crew that did a significant portion of the work. Each day he brought to the job his knowledge and much of the history of the town's infrastructure, and he was missed by his family and friends at Goffstown Public Works.
