Black Canyon Wilderness is a protected 17,220-acre wilderness area in Nevada within Lake Mead National Recreation Area. It occupies part of the Dry Lake watershed along Dry Lake Valley at Black Canyon of the Colorado, west of the Great Basin Divide. Just to its south lies the Eldorado Wilderness in the El Dorado Mountains. Together, these two wilderness areas preserve 49,170 acres of desert landscape, making this area significant as part of a larger protected expanse in southern Nevada.
