Griffith Peak is a prominent mountain in southern Nevada’s Spring Mountains, about 28 miles northwest of the Las Vegas Strip and 3.9 miles southeast of Mount Charleston. It lies within Humboldt–Toiyabe National Forest, the Mount Charleston Wilderness, and the Spring Mountains National Recreation Area. Ranked Nevada’s 43rd highest peak and the third highest in southern Nevada, it is a notable destination for hikers. The mountain is commonly approached by the South Loop Trail or the Harris Springs Trail, with the South Loop climbing to Griffith Saddle, an important access point for reaching both Griffith Peak and Mount Charleston.
