In tribute to those from Monroe County, Pennsylvania, and the Poconos who, in a spirit of loyalty, served their country in the World War of 1914–1918 and in the Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard, an honor roll was established and the site was planted by the Monroe County Garden Club.
