Marysville School House
Education
1
Built in 1883 as a two-room structure, the Marysville schoolhouse quickly became inadequate, and in 1891 a second story was added to accommodate more than 200 hundred students in eleven grades. At that time, instruction was provided by as many as nine teachers. Through the donation and efforts of Brian O'Connell in 1957, the second story was removed and the schoolhouse was restored to its original form. Presently it is owned and maintained by the Marysville Pioneer Association and serves as a museum and town meeting hall.
