Dog Slaughter Falls is a waterfall in southeastern Kentucky's Daniel Boone National Forest, where Dog Slaughter Creek joins the Cumberland River. About 15 to 20 feet high and located in the London Ranger District downstream from Cumberland Falls, it is accessible by the Sheltowee Trace Trail or the Dog Slaughter Trail. Its striking name is associated with local lore rather than documented history, with stories attributing it either to drowned unwanted pets or to hunting dogs lost to predatory wildlife. Today, it is recognized as a waterfall destination within the Cumberland River corridor.
