Lake Quassapaug Station stood along the trolley bed where the Greenway Trail is now located, and in 1910 the line served an amusement park like those trolley companies commonly built and operated to create a passenger base. Recreation there included fishing, bowling, billiards, dancing, and swings, and patrons could also buy a ticket for a steamboat ride around the lake. In the area now occupied by the Little League complex, a turning loop let trolley cars reverse direction without going to the end of the line, and the trolley line extended to Woodbury and Hotchkissville.
