A cannon used in the war for the Union from 1861 to 1865 was loaned by the War Department of the U.S.A. and dedicated to the Union soldiers of Owen County by Gettysburg Post No. 93 G.A.R. and W.R.C. No. 106 on July 4th, 1905.
