The Arcade saloon stood on the corner of Broadway and Lee Street and operated from 1870-1885. Its proprietor, J.H. Coleman, touted himself as a "saloonist" and advertised that patrons could buy the purest liquors and wine for less money in his bar, and that bars in Nashville, Memphis, St. Louis, Cincinnati, and Louisville could not beat the variety of drinks he served.
