Nature
Mount Gabb is a 13,747-foot peak in California’s central Sierra Nevada, within the John Muir Wilderness of Sierra National Forest. Named for paleontologist William More Gabb, who participated in the Whitney Survey, it is known as a demanding summit reached by non-technical routes. Climbers approaching from Lake Italy ascend the south face on a class 2 to 3 route, while the route from Upper Mills Creek Lake is considered class 2.
