Joe Namath played 13 seasons in the American Football League and the National Football League for the New York Jets and the Los Angeles Rams as an All-Pro quarterback. Widely considered to be one of the best quarterbacks to play the game. Nicknamed “Broadway Joe,” he was a five-time All Star in the American Football League and a 1972 All-Pro selection in the National Football League. During his professional career he led the Jets to an American Football League Championship in 1968 and a victory in Super Bowl III the following year. Beaver Falls is recognized as Joe Namath’s official hometown.
