THE STORY

Built in 1874 on U.S. Rt. 50 near Romney, this Whipple Truss was re-erected at its present site in 1938, remained in use until 1991, and was made a historic site by the WVDOT in 1992. It is the oldest of the few Whipple Trusses left in WV.
