Twin Peaks Wilderness is an 11,396-acre protected area in Utah’s Wasatch Range within the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest. In the central Wasatch near the Salt Lake Valley, it occupies a compact but dramatically rugged section of mountains between the Mount Olympus Wilderness to the north and the Lone Peak Wilderness to the south. Its terrain climbs from under 5,000 feet to 11,330 feet at Twin Peaks, creating a striking vertical range in a relatively small area. The wilderness remains part of the national wilderness system and stands out for its steep relief and position among neighboring protected mountain lands.
