St. Patrick's Church was constructed during the period 1852 to 1856. It is the oldest church building in Chicago and one of the few buildings that survived the Great Fire of 1871. On March 10, 1964, the Chicago City Council designated the building as a Historical Landmark of the City of Chicago.
