The Knob is a mountain in northern Indiana, about three miles east of LaGrange in Bloomfield Township. Rising 1,051 feet, or 320 meters, it is the fourth-highest named point in the state, exceeded only by Weed Patch Hill, Sand Hill, and Hoosier Hill. Its importance is chiefly topographic, since Indiana is more commonly associated with broad plains and low relief. Against that landscape, The Knob stands out as one of the state's more prominent elevations.
