The Stewart House was the boyhood home of N.E. Stewart, an Alabama state representative and poor keeper for the state House of Representatives, who also served on the Bibb County Commission, as Bibb County Road Commissioner, and on the county board of education during a 59-year career of public service. This pioneer home was given to Tannehill State Park by Mrs. Essie Kornegay and was restored in 1973.
