Pompton Reformed Church is the oldest existing church in Pompton Lakes, founded in 1812. It was built and dedicated in 1814 on land donated by Martin Ryerson, owner of the Pompton Ironworks. Noted author Albert Payson Terhune (1872-1942) was a long time member of the congregation. It was declared a local historic landmark in 2001.
