Scatter Branch Church is a jointly owned Methodist and Baptist edifice where the two congregations hold united communion and Sunday School services, share upkeep, and have pastors who alternate Sundays. Their partnership began in 1893. In 1927, the church moved here and the present building was built. It was named for a branch that spreads over the area in flood time. The main stone was paid for by local citizens.
