Among those honored in memory are Melvin Matson of Headquarters Company, 329th Infantry, born June 11th, 1890, who died March 13th, 1918, at Camp Sherman in Chillicothe, Ohio; Henry Holle of Company C, 6th Infantry, born January 12th, 1895, who was killed in action on September 12th, 1918, at St. Mihiel, France; Elmer Anderson of Rainbow Division, Company B, 166th Infantry, born March 12th, 1900, who was killed in action on June 4th, 1918, at Chateau Thierry, France; and Ralph E. Powers of the 337th Ambulance Corps, born July 25th, 1891, who was killed January 23rd, 1919, at Ust-Tadenda, North Russia.
