A Quaker Meeting House stood on this site from 1762 to 1810 and burned to the ground in 1978. The first noted burial here was in 1813. Burials took place here from 1813 to 1930 as a Quaker cemetery, and in 1982 the Town of North Salem purchased the cemetery and grounds, with interments continuing from 1982 to the present under the town.
