Chula Vista is a summit in Taney County, Missouri, rising 1,302 feet along Missouri Route 248 at Buchanan Road about four miles north of Branson. Its name was borrowed from Chula Vista, California, by a settler who had visited that city. In Spanish, chula vista means “pretty view,” an apt name for this hilltop setting in the Ozarks.
