Oakley Observatory, also known as the Rose–Hulman Observatory, is an astronomical observatory at Rose–Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, Indiana, operating under observatory code 916. It serves chiefly as a teaching facility, with eight permanently mounted telescopes supporting astronomy classes, student research, and recreational observing. Its equipment ranges from 8- to 22-inch reflecting telescopes to a 6-inch refractor built by Clark and Sons in 1886, linking the site to an earlier era of telescope making. The observatory has also contributed to minor planet discovery, with several finds there, many notably associated with American astronomer Chris Wolfe.
