Marcellina Mountain
Nature
Marcellina Mountain is a prominent 11,353-foot summit in Colorado’s West Elk Mountains, a subrange of the Rocky Mountains. Located in the Raggeds Wilderness within Gunnison National Forest, about 15 miles west-northwest of Crested Butte, it is known chiefly for its setting in one of the more rugged parts of central Colorado’s high country. Its 3,460-meter elevation and strong prominence above the surrounding terrain give it a distinct profile in a wilderness landscape shaped by protected forest and alpine country.
