Donegal Presbyterian Church was founded prior to 1721, and a gateway was erected by the Donegal Society in honor of its World War veterans. It also memorialized sons of the Donegal Society who gave their lives in the World War of 1914-1918: Lieut. Alexander Rogers, Jr., on Oct 23, 1918, at Brizeaux, France; Lieut. Daniel S. Keller, on Sept 29, 1918, in Argonne, France; and Lieut. Benjamin Hiestand, of Arcadia, Florida.
