Forry's Mill Covered Bridge in West Hempfield Township, Pennsylvania, spans Chiques Creek east of Marietta and is the last covered bridge still crossing that waterway. Built in 1869 by Elias McMellen, it is a county-owned road bridge officially designated the Big Chiques #7 Bridge. Its single-span wooden double Burr arch truss is reinforced with steel hanger rods, and its oak-plank deck and red-and-white Lancaster County paint scheme preserve a traditional appearance. Repaired in 1925 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980, it survives as one of Lancaster County's notable covered bridges in a region rich in 19th-century bridge building.
