Siegrist's Mill Covered Bridge spans Chiques Creek in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, connecting Rapho and West Hempfield townships. Built in 1885 by James C. Carpenter and named for the nearby Siegrist family, it is an 88-foot Burr Arch Truss bridge with traditional red sides and white-painted approaches, oak plank decking, and biblical passages painted beneath the deck. It survived Hurricane Agnes in 1972 with minor damage, but flooding from the remnants of Tropical Storm Lee in 2011 swept it from its foundations. After major repairs, it reopened in August 2013. Recognized for its significance, it has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1980.
