Terra Ceia Preserve, also known as Frog Creek and Terra Ceia Preserve State Park, is a 1,932-acre protected area in Florida north of Palmetto. Co-owned and maintained by the Southwest Florida Water Management District and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, it was first acquired in 1995 to help protect the water quality of Tampa Bay. A major expansion came in 1998 through a joint acquisition with the Board of Trustees for the Internal Improvement Trust Fund, adding 1,400 acres. The preserve supports low-impact outdoor recreation, including hiking, canoe and kayak launches, and a boat ramp, with kayaking as its main activity and free admission.
