Corporal Sidney E. Manning of Alabama, a World War I Medal of Honor recipient and one of General Pershing's "Immortal Ten," is honored alongside all who have served in the Armed Forces of the United States of America, with the declaration that this glory shall not perish from the Earth. American Legion Fred H. Jones Post 167 and its post commanders J. R. Collins and Kemble Dean are named, and a plaque also honors and remembers the heroes and victims of September 11, 2001, while celebrating the enduring spirit of all Americans, presented by members of Woodmen of the World Life Insurance Society.
