Hickory Hollow Natural Area Preserve is a 254-acre protected area in Lancaster County, Virginia, with mixed pine-hardwood forest, ravines, and swampland that provide habitat for songbirds, wild turkeys, and a rare plant species. Its most significant feature is a swamp representing the globally rare coastal plain basic seepage swamp natural community, which supports high biological diversity. The Northern Neck Audubon Society bought the land from Lancaster County in 1999, and it was dedicated as a Natural Area Preserve on July 12, 2000. The preserve is open to the public and includes a parking area and hiking trails.
