The restoration of the Goodspeed Opera House was completed in 1965. It was undertaken by The Goodspeed Opera House Foundation, Inc., which was organized in 1959, with Frederick Palmer, M. Arch., as design consultant, Henry Sage Goodwin, of Schutz & Goodwin, as architect, and The Wadhams & May Co. as general contractors.
