Roseto, Pennsylvania dedicated this memorial to the town’s youth who served their country in World War II. It honors those who made the supreme sacrifice: S/SGT. Carl Capobianco, killed in Germany on Nov. 29, 1944; PVT. George Capobianco, killed in Italy on Oct. 13, 1944; CPL. Matthew Menecola, killed in France on Feb. 17, 1945; Marine Sgt. John Racciato, killed in Okinawa on June 20, 1945; SGT. Philip L. Sabatino, killed in Italy on Feb. 1, 1945; PFC. Frank Tilli, killed in Luzon on Jan. 26, 1945; and T/5 Albert Trigiani, killed in Germany on Dec. 11, 1944. It also records the names of the many other Roseto men and women who served during the war, and it was erected on Nov. 11, 1949.
