Fall Creek Falls
Nature
Fall Creek Falls is a waterfall on the North Umpqua River in Douglas County, Oregon, at the western edge of the Umpqua National Forest. Known as a three- to four-drop cascade, it lies within a stretch of river notable for several nearby waterfalls, including Susan Creek Falls, Emile Falls, and Grotto Falls. Reached from Oregon Route 138 near Glide, the approach follows a trail beside a cascading creek, passing through a narrow crevice in a large boulder before climbing toward the falls. Although the 2020 Archie Creek Fire severely damaged the surrounding forest and trail system, the falls remain part of one of the North Umpqua’s best-known waterfall corridors.
