Cavitt Creek Bridge is a covered road bridge in Douglas County, Oregon, carrying Cavitt Creek Road over the Little River east of Roseburg near Peel and Glide. Built in 1943 by Floyd C. Frear, it is one of Oregon’s later covered bridges. Its name preserves the memory of Robert L. Cavitt, who settled along Cavitt Creek in the mid-19th century. The bridge’s Tudor-style portal arches were designed to accommodate log trucks, reflecting the timber traffic that influenced its form. Unhewn truss timbers, side windows, a metal roof, and narrow ventilation slits further distinguish the structure.
