Leonis Adobe is associated with 1844 - 1846 and was declared Historic Cultural Monument No. 1 by the Cultural Heritage Board, Municipal Art Department, City of Los Angeles. This adobe was built by Miguel Leonis in the early 1870's, and the chain of title extends from the King of Spain to the present owners.
