Warren Dunes State Park is a 1,500-acre public recreation area on Lake Michigan’s eastern shore in southwestern Michigan, known for broad beaches and steep, shifting dunes that make it one of the state’s major lake destinations. Its landscape includes Mt. Fuller, Pikes Peak, Mt. Edwards, and Tower Hill, the highest point at 240 feet above the lake. The park offers trails, swimming, camping, hiking, and seasonal activities such as cross-country skiing, metal detecting, hunting, and sandboarding. Its dunes and shoreline were preserved through the efforts of Edward K. Warren, and the area became a Michigan state park in 1930, protecting a dramatic stretch of dune country.
