Bull Canyon lies in the San Jacinto Mountains of Riverside County, California, at the upper end of Palm Canyon Wash, a tributary of the Whitewater River. Beginning on the southwestern slope of a ridge at about 6,165 feet, the canyon descends toward the head of Palm Canyon. Its water is carried by the creek of Palm Canyon Wash and supplemented by Bull Canyon Spring at about 5,331 feet. The canyon’s mouth is at roughly 4,508 feet near the head of Palm Canyon, where an unnamed creek from Vandeventer Flat also joins Palm Canyon Wash nearby.
