The property was the original location of the Alpharetta Hotel, built by Bob Webb in 1908 and torn down in the 1970s. It once housed a boarding house for single school teachers operated by Lillian Teasley and was the home of the Morris Brothers for many years. After renovations, the building contained the post office, a bank, Dr. James L. Morris, Gordons Department Store, and many other small shops. The property stands in memory of all who lived there, shopped there, and have fond memories of this square in the center of Alpharetta.
