Mount Tekarra is a 2,694-metre peak in Jasper National Park in Alberta, rising above the Athabasca River valley at the northwest end of the Maligne Range and visible from Jasper and the Icefields Parkway. James Hector named it in 1859 during the Palliser Expedition for Tekarra, an Iroquois guide and hunter who accompanied him along the Athabasca River, and the name was officially adopted in 1947. Morrison P. Bridgland first climbed the mountain in 1915. Formed from Cambrian sedimentary rock later thrust eastward during the Laramide orogeny, it stands in a subarctic environment where runoff feeds Tekarra Creek and the Maligne River.
