Baird Mountain is a summit in southern Missouri in Taney County, just southeast of Table Rock Lake dam above Missouri Route 265, with Table Rock State Park immediately to its west. The mountain is historically linked to the building of Table Rock Dam because the United States Army Corps of Engineers quarried its rock for the concrete used in the project and carried the material to the construction site on a conveyor belt about a mile long. Its name also preserves the memory of Mr. Baird, remembered as a pioneer prospector.
