Drift Creek Falls lies in the Coast Range of western Oregon, east of Lincoln City and west of the Valley of the Giants. Reached through the Drift Creek Wilderness, it is approached by a Forest Service trail built in the 1990s that passes through dense coastal forest to a canyon viewpoint. The outing is about 2.6 miles round trip, and its most distinctive feature is a 240-foot suspension bridge only 3 feet wide, hanging about 100 feet above Drift Creek. Although a rough path continues toward the waterfall’s base, the bridge is the main overlook and gives the place its memorable character.
