Starkweather Hill names two elevations in the Northeast: a mountain in New York’s Catskill Mountains east-southeast of Walton, and a Massachusetts hill in the Hidden Hills near Worthington. In Massachusetts, the name honors the Hon. Dr. Ezra Starkweather, a settler connected with the hill who served as a colonial physician, fought in the Revolutionary War, and later became a state legislator. There, the name now applies to one prominence on the ridgeline massif called West Hill within the Fox Den State Wildlife Management Area, and the hill is approached from the southeast by Starkweather Hill Road.
