Filhiol Mound is a 7-foot-tall platform mound measuring 98 by 98 feet at the base. It was built in two episodes, with the first completed around AD 700. An Indian village extended from the mound to the Ouachita River, and an 1850s cemetery on the summit has helped preserve the mound.
