Goat Mountain is a prominent summit in Idaho’s Pioneer Mountains, rising 11,913 feet on the border of Blaine and Custer counties and along the boundary between Sawtooth and Salmon-Challis National Forests. It is the second-highest peak in the Pioneer Mountains and the 16th-highest in Idaho. Standing less than 2 miles north-northwest of Hyndman Peak, it ranks among the highest and most notable mountains in this rugged central Idaho range.
