Attitash Mountain Resort, built in 1938 by the Works Progress Administration, is a major ski area in Bartlett, New Hampshire, within the White Mountain National Forest. Spread across connected Attitash and Bear Peak, it offers 68 runs on 311 skiable acres and is known for combining older, steeper New England-style trails with wider, later-developed terrain and glades. In recent years, ownership shifted to Vail Resorts, snowmaking and grooming were improved, and lift upgrades became central after several mechanical problems, including the 2023 opening of the Mountaineer lift. Its dual-peak design and long four-season history have made it a prominent White Mountains destination.
