Diana's Baths, a series of small waterfalls on Lucy Brook near North Conway in Bartlett, evolved from an industrial site into a popular destination in the White Mountain National Forest. George Lucy bought land there in 1863 and the Lucy family built a sawmill in the falls, later adding a boarding house as tourism grew and then a concrete dam with turbines in the 1930s before milling was abandoned. The family remained connected through a gift shop and residence into the late 1950s. Once known as the Home of the Water Fairies and later Lucy's Baths, the site received its official name after federal acquisition in the 1960s.
